Thus we are truly conscious of our accommodations and normally seek hotels as we are usually concerned about a villa experience. Il Torrino was beyond what we had imagined for this Tuscan experience. The close adjacency to Cortona (a wonderful Tuscan village) while still providing a panoramic view of the countryside was true enjoyment. Although worried, our accommodations (plumbing, AC, and typical villa problems) surpassed our expectations. We had acres of olive trees and complete privacy with its extra large swimming pool and outside breakfast area while inside each room had its own separate ac thermostat. Two modern kitchens in two full apartments gave our family togetherness and privacy at the same time. What a bonus it was to be greeted by the owners and their (non intrusive) family who treated us, our children, and grandchildren like their own. We could only cry with happiness in our stay and we will surely return to see not just this perfect villa experience, but the friends we have made with the owners and their 85 year old grandmother, Nella, who had worked this land from when she was 8. We were even welcomed with a basket of goodies (home backed apple sponge cake, breads, milk, juice) which made us feel right at home. The best part to our stay was enjoying the pool, which was quite refreshing on the hot Tuscan days....we would highly recommend Rita's house and we look forward to returning on our next visit to Tuscany. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed at in over two decades of traveling. The house is gorgeous, large and redone with the most tasteful materials. There were two large private rooms, a dining room and a very lovely and well stocked kitchen. It felt right out of a dream movie vacation house in the Tuscan hills. Having your own private pool and vast, lovely views was the icing. Rita and her family picked us up at the train station and upon arrival at the house there was homeade pie and a generous basket of treats for our stay. Her partner, Alejandro, gave us a personal tour of Cortona and was available for any questions. I felt like I was with family. The location is 3 k below Cortona, which is VERY easy to get to by a bus if you don't have a car. They are closer to the Camucia train station (there are two stops for Cortona). Cortona is a perfect destination. Great food, wine, museums, shops, views, and much more. I can't wait to return. This was a total gem for us. If I were you I would book this ASAP because as soon as people find out about this farm house, it's going to be booked solid. I'm picky. This was an excellent find. A+ Enjoy :) AMAZING! Cercavo una casa vacanze Toscana che mi permettesse dimenticare la città, il lavoro, il rumore, la vita di tutti i giorni... e, per fortuna, l'ho trovata in questa casa vacanze in Toscana. Vedute meravigliose, silenzio, ottimo servizio e massima gentilezza. Di sicuro, l'anno prossimo ci ritornerò. Ho soggiornato una settimana nell’agriturismo il Torrino. Cercavo una casa vacanze Toscana che mi permettesse dimenticare la città, il lavoro, il rumore, la vita di tutti i giorni… e, per fortuna, l’ho trovata in questa casa vacanze in Toscana. Ottima accoglienza, come sempre, bello l'appartamento, arredato bene con gusto, con tutte le comodità. Comodo per raggiungere Cortona, città dalle mille ricchezze storiche ed altre mete, della stupenda Toscana. Per chi avesse intenzione di trascorrere alcuni giorni di ferie, in questi splendidi scenari, consiglio vivamente di soggiornare presso tale struttura. Un grazie particolare a Rita, per averci reso confortevole e piacevole il nostro periodo di vacanza. Alla prossima occasione. Sinceramente, Marco, Cristina e Nella. Siamo appena rientrati da uno splendido week-end, presso “Il Torrino” della gentilissima Rita. Ottima accoglienza, come sempre, bello l’appartamento, arredato bene con gusto, con tutte le comodità. Abbiamo trovato un po' di traffico ma era immaginabile dato il periodo; purtroppo il soggiorno e' durato troppo poco!!!!! ringraziandola di nuovo le mandiamo tantissimi saluti di cuore ....
